I've spent my career reading light on the California coast — the soft marine layer, golden hour over the water, piers at sunset. I know that light cold.

But I recently spent time in Henderson, Nevada, and the desert taught me something new - Harder light. Warmer tones. Rocks that glow like they're lit from inside.

I'm always learning new ways to use light. That's what keeps the work alive.
